Have you ever test driven a car that you really liked? I mean you were excited about it. You liked everything about it. Then they told you how much it cost. All of the sudden you lose your excitement. You are not willing to commit to that cost.
Too often people come to church and have an experience with God and they really love what they feel. They love the atmosphere, they love how they feel, they love everything about. When they realize the cost of living for God though, they don’t want to make the commitment. They aren’t willing to pay the price. What price you may ask, isn’t salvation free? Yes it is. God calls us to live separated lives. He calls us to be holy, to deny ourselves, to forgive those that offend us, to take up our cross.
We must be willing to pay the price of living for God. Anything that we may have to give up or abandon to live for God is worth it. Make the commitment today to live for God wholeheartedly.
Matthew 16:24-26 KJV 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
