I was passing a corn field that was being harvested. I observed the conditions of the corn stalks and thought to myself, “that ain’t no good.” As I approached the combine though I could see it full of beautiful yellow corn.
We all have fields in our lives that we may think are past harvesting. We may think it’s dead, there’s no use, just give up and move on. Don’t let what you see or don’t see fool you. There’s still a harvest in your family. There’s still a harvest in your job. There’s still a harvest in school. There’s still a harvest in your city.
Don’t give up on the harvest because you can’t see life. Don’t give up because it’s been a long time. Keep praying, keep believing. Listen to what I’m telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready for harvest (John 4:35 CSB).
Matthew 9:37-38 KJV 37 …The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
