I was weed eating the other day and a couple times I got my weedeater tangled up in some stuff. I had to stop and untangle it so I could get back to work. Why do you think I got it tangled up? Some may say because it was there and needs to be removed. I say because I got too close to it.
We are not to get entangled with this world and the cares thereof. These cares will choke the drive out of us and we will no longer be effective. Eventually choking the life out of us. The thing is the cares of this life are present. We can’t always remove them, but we can be sure to not get too close to them so that we don’t get wrapped up in them. Make sure that you have your money and your money doesn’t have you I’ve heard said. So be in this world but not of this world and please the One who chose you.
2 Timothy 2:4 KJV No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
