Snakebit

Have you ever had a day that nothing seems to go right? It doesn’t matter what you try, you just can’t seem to catch a break.

Acts 28:3-6 WEB 3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4 When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped from the sea, yet Justice has not allowed to live.” 5 However he shook off the creature into the fire, and wasn’t harmed. 6 But they expected that he would have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but when they watched for a long time and saw nothing bad happen to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

Sometimes in life we feel like we’re “Snakebit” , a slang term that means to be unlucky or to have experienced bad luck. We may run into different types of problems. We may even have some traumatic things happen. People in the world may look at us and think that this has happened because of something wrong in our lives. Then when we survive God gets glory from it. In turn this can lead people to Jesus.

So take heart if you’re going through something that may have you feeling snakebit. It may be God working it out to reach a lost soul and for His glory.

1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB … whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

John 11:4 KJV When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

Amen! If we never experienced the “valley”, we would never know the victory of the mountain top. Know that God does have a perfect plan.
