My son Isaac, was given a small puzzle at school one year for a Christmas gift. After he brought it home we opened it, then he and I put it together on a coffee table. A day or so later I was sitting in the living room and I heard him with regret in his voice. “No, no!” I heard coming from the other room. He came straight to me with a piece of the puzzle torn in two. He had been trying to play with it and apparently tore it. I told him not to worry, I would fix it. Isaac’s response when this happened though was to bring it to me, his Daddy.
Our lives are like puzzles in many ways. All of the pieces put together make the picture of our lives. Sometimes things happen that may damage a piece of our puzzle. When this happens we should go straight to our Father with it. He can fix it. Don’t walk around with a piece of your life broken that God could fix for you.
I’m sure we’ve all known people that walked around with something broken inside of them. They just carried it around and it affected how they did things. It may have affected how they reacted to situations. How they carried themselves day to day. How they talked. Either way it affected them.
Don’t walk around carrying a broken piece of your puzzle. Bring it to God and let Him fix the brokenness in your life.
Proverbs 18:14 BBE The spirit of a man will be his support when he is ill; but how may a broken spirit be lifted up?
Psalm 34:18 BBE The Lord is near the broken-hearted; he is the saviour of those whose spirits are crushed down.
