In my older age I have started needing glasses to read more and more. I sat down the other day and grabbed my large print Bible and had it at arms length trying to read it. I finally put it down and went and got my glasses. Once I put them on I could see clearly.
Have you ever had someone present something to you from the Word and you just don’t see it? Maybe you don’t understand it or you just don’t see it that way. If someone has presented something to you and lines up with the Word then you should consider it. Don’t dismiss it because it doesn’t make sense to you or it’s just not how you have always understood it. You need to look at it with God guiding you. Ask God to open the eyes of your understanding (Ephesians 1:18 KJV).
Put on the glasses of the Spirit and look intently into the Word of God. Ask for wisdom because if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to everyone generously without a rebuke, and it will be given to him (James 1:5 ISV).
Colossians 1:9 KJV For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Proverbs 4:7 KJV Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
