Making An Impact

What do you see in the first picture? Some, dare I say most, would say an impact. I would say this is an obstacle, a weight , something that cannot be used. It can’t even stand up.

What about the second picture? Now this is an impact, right? I would say no. It can stand up at least, but not on its own. Now it has power only because it’s connected to its power source. Yet it still can’t be used for anything other than shining a little light when it’s pressed. (Seeing as it is equipped with a light that turns on when you squeeze the trigger).

So what about the third picture?  This is an impact. This has purpose. It’s ready and willing to be used. It has direction and is prepared to move forward. We must be fully connected to Jesus our source of power. We must never be satisfied with just existing, but always pressing forward until we are in the position to be used. This is how you make an impact.

John 15:5 KJV I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
