My wife had prepared a meal once that I brought to work to share. One of the guys there was apparently a connoisseur. He said that he tasted a certain ingredient in the dish and asked me if he was right. I told him I didn’t know what was in it, I just knew that it was good.
Don’t let not knowing what all the “ingredients” in the Word are stop you from consuming it on a regular basis. You don’t have to understand everything in the Word to be fed by it. The more you read it though the more you’ll understand it. Also if you don’t understand something in the Word, ask God for understanding. Seek understanding from reputable people that study the Word.
Also don’t let your lack of understanding in one particular part stop you from sharing the Word. You can feed others with what you do understand. You may also gain understanding from those that you share with.
Don’t be intimidated by not understanding the Word. Read it anyway, consume it and feed your soul. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2 KJV).
Deuteronomy 8:3 KJV …man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
James 1:5 NET But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.
