IDLH stands for Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health. It is used to describe exposures to airborne contaminants that are extremely dangerous and will likely cause serious health problems or death if someone is exposed to them. Different chemicals have a different IDLH level. If you are going to enter an area that has a high IDLH value then you need to wear supplied air respirators. This will give you clean air to breathe while in the area. Individuals should not be in an IDLH environment for any length of time unless they are equipped and protected to be in that environment. If you choose to ignore this information and walk into an area with an IDLH value you will be putting your life and health at risk. You will most likely not survive very long, and if you did, you’d be affected for the rest of your life.
There are things as believers that have an IDLH value that can affect us spiritually. There are some environments that we have no business being in. It may be a physical place you go to, but it may be a conversation or an internet site. There are some things that can be detrimental to our spiritual health. They may cause our spiritual death and if they don’t kill us they may cause us damage for years. Now sometimes we may have to be in environments that we don’t have much choice of being in. It may be our jobs or whatever. These areas we have to be equipped and protected to be in. We have to be prayed up and full of God, who will supply us clean air to breathe. We need to read the Bible so that we recognize the dangers. This way we are protected and able to survive these things. Continue to stay alert to things that are around us so that we don’t put our spiritual lives at risk.
