Hopeless

Hopeless! A word that reaches deep down into that dark place. The place you don’t talk about. The place that you’re ashamed of. That place that makes you feel all alone.

I want to talk to you about that place, yes that place that you don’t want to talk about. You are not alone. People do care, Jesus cares. You are not without hope although you may feel like it. Before you have Jesus in your life, yes you may be at that time without Christ….having no hope, and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who at one time were far off are made near in the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:12-13 BBE).

You have been made near to God by the blood of Jesus. Here’s a simple truth. If Jesus cared enough for you to die for you, then don’t believe the lie that He doesn’t care about you now. Yes you may be going through a tough time. You may be hurting. You may not see the end of it. But with Jesus there is always hope, for He is our hope.

You know that if you plant a seed that you will bury it in the dirt. In a dark lonely place. It’s a place that you don’t think about. It’s a place that is a place of pain for the seed. But what comes from it? Life breaks through the ground and sprouts upward reaching for the light.

So say to yourself as the psalmist did. Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for once again I will praise him, since his presence saves me and he is my God (Psalm 42:11 ISV).

He has not forsaken you. He has not forgotten you. He has seen all of your tears. As a matter of fact it says in Psalm 56:8 (NLT)  “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book”.

He sees you. He is there with you in the place where you feel alone gathering your tears and recording every one. This means that you are not alone and God cares. Though you may have to wait for the sun to shine, say proudly. We wait on the LORD;  he is our help and our shield. Indeed, our heart will rejoice in him, because we have placed our trust in his holy name. LORD, may your gracious love be upon us, even as we hope in you (Psalm 33:20-22 ISV).

You are not hopeless. Hope in God!!!

Romans 15:13 KJV Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 KJV Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
