His Voice

I went to pick up my son Levi, being just over a year old, from daycare and when I entered the room he was unaware. He was totally focused on the two toys he was playing with, one in each hand. I squatted down and said, “Hey, big guy.” His head popped up, eyes wide open and he flung the two toys and darted to me as fast as he could. I didn’t have to call his name, because he knows his Daddy’s voice.

My brother James and I got an emotional reunion with our Daddy’s voice once. Daddy had been gone for over 20 years when we discovered a VHS tape with him on it. We immediately recognized his voice as the tears ran down our faces.

Children know their Daddy’s voice no matter how old they get or how long it’s been since they’ve heard it. We should know our Heavenly Father’s voice. The more time we spend with Him the easier it will be to recognize His voice. We should be always listening for Him. When He calls we should toss aside anything that may hold us back from getting to Him. Then go to Him or where He is calling us to, without delay.

John 10:27 KJV My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
