I walked into a building that had all the lights turned off. Once inside I turned and noticed the exit sign shining above the door. I couldn’t see the door because of how dark it was, which is why there is an exit sign shining brightly in the darkness to show the safe way out. I also noticed on the opposite set of doors that the exit sign was not shining.
As Christians, we are exit signs, we are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14 KJV). it is our job to shine brightly in this dark world. We are to do this to show the safe way out of the darkness. If our light isn’t shining brightly, how will people know the way of escape? Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house (Matthew 5:15 KJV).
If your light has dimmed, get your fire back. Draw closer to Jesus and let His light shine brightly through you. People are depending on you to see the way out of darkness.
1 Peter 2:9 KJV But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Matthew 5:16 KJV Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
