Daily Grind

The story of Samson has many things that we could learn from it. One of those is that Samson was blinded by the enemy, then was made to grind grain in the prison. The process of grinding grain was to make it into flour. It required two heavy stones, one secured to the floor, the other fashioned and shaped so that it could revolve around, crushing the grain that fell between the stones. This was a job typically performed by animals as it took a lot of strength. Samson was blind so although he knew what he was doing, he didn’t know how big the stone was that he was pushing around. Thus he didn’t know how strong he was.

You may be walking through the valley. You may be walking on the mountain. You know what the valley and the mountain have in common? The walk you have to walk in both places and both require strength. Yes there may be times we mount up with wings and fly, we will run, but mostly we’ll walk.

We don’t understand the strength that it takes to have a daily walk with God. We may just be doing our daily grind walking with God. Doing what we know we should do, but not comprehending the strength this takes. Because the enemy blinds us to the strength of enduring the daily grind. Do not underestimate the strength that you possess. Do not let the enemy lie to you and tell you that you are weak. You just keep walking and those that walk are strong through Jesus.

Isaiah 40:31 KJV But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Philippians 4:13 KJV I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
