Stand Up Straight 

I don’t have the best posture. There is one thing you’ll notice if you have bad posture. If you try to stand up right it hurts. Your body probably starts thinking, “nope, this can’t be right.” But just because it hurts doesn’t mean it’s not right. 

When God calls you to change things in your life, He will call you to take a stand on some things. He will call you to walk differently. And He will call you to change. Nobody ever had an encounter with God and not change. Yes, God loves you just like you are, but He loves you too much to leave you that way. Now that, that is said. When God calls you to change something in your life it’s probably not going to be easy at first. It’s quite possibly going to be painful. It may cost you some friends, it may cost you some places you go. 

Yes, at first these things may be painful and you may think, “this can’t be right, this hurts too much to be right.” If God has called you to do it then it is right, even though it may be painful. 

We are commanded to 

come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord (2 Corinthians 6:17 WEB). 

Yes, it will cost you. Yes, it may be painful, but it’s worth it. So stand up straight and walk the straight path.
