If you own property on a road front, you probably have to deal with other people’s trash. They just drive by and toss their trash in your front yard with no concern for anyone. It is infuriating and disrespectful. You have to get out there and pick it up. Worse yet, if you don’t pick it up and later hit it with a mower, it spreads out even more, creating a bigger mess to clean. Our church has the same problem, there is always trash out front to pick up. It makes a piece of property look less valuable.
The thing is though we let trash be thrown into our lives, be it by the enemy or other people. Oftentimes we accept the lies or derogatory remarks and they lay there in our “front yard,” just waiting to get spread around. Then it becomes worse and worse. It’s about time that we clean up the trash. We need to stop letting litter be spread in our lives. We need to get rid of the stuff that we don’t want and devalues who we really are. We also don’t need to let people trash our church in the spiritual realm and clutter it up with things that devalue it.
You were bought with the blood of Christ, you are a child of the King, that gives you great value. Do not believe the lies of the enemy. Do not accept things that would tear you down and cause you to not see your value.
