A Covenant Relationship

If you are married, you are in a covenant, which is a legally binding agreement and a sacred promise between two parties. Did you know that you live differently because of this? There are places you do and don’t go because of this commitment. But you don’t do this out of obligation to a legal document; you do it because of the love that caused you to enter that agreement in the first place. In fact, you most likely started living this way before you even walked down the aisle.

Did you also know that we are supposed to be in a covenant with Jesus? We love him, because he first loved us (1 John 4:19). That love should spark a relationship with Jesus, and that relationship should cause a noticeable change in us.

Today, we must evaluate our lives and ensure they truly reflect that we are in a covenant with Jesus.

2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
