My Daddy took a notion one time to go see my sister Carla that lives 5 hours away in Texas. Him and Mama loaded up and took off. After many hours of not hearing from them, they pulled back up in the front yard. I asked my Mama what happened and she said, “we got lost and your Daddy wouldn’t ask for directions.” When she talked to my sister we discovered that they made it 30 minutes from her house before they turned around. I remember my sister saying, “if yall would have just called me, I would have come to yall and shown you the way.” They were so close, but instead of asking for help Daddy decided to turn around.
Some of us have been on this road to heaven for a long time, some only for a short time. Sometimes we get tired, uncertain, confused, hurt, etc. I want to say to you, don’t turn around. Don’t give up now, you’ve come too far to turn back now, even if you’ve just started . Ask for help, call your brother or sister and ask for direction. But by all means don’t turn around on this road to heaven
Galatians 6:9 NET So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.
