I was working in my yard one day. I reached for a piece of rotten wood to throw it away. I felt my back catch and an excruciating pain shot through my lower back into my leg. I ended up on the ground on my back unable to get up because of the pain. I was home alone so I didn’t have anybody to help me get up. After a few minutes I said, “It’s You and me Lord, I’m going to need some help.” I then pushed through the pain and got on my feet, using a pair of clippers that I had been using. The pain didn’t stop immediately, I just decided that I wasn’t staying down any longer. After limping around for a while the pain eased up and I was able to go back to work.
We will run into things in life that will catch us off guard. These things may come with a lot of pain. Sometimes these things hit so hard they knock you down. Not only can you not walk, you can’t stand. You may not even have anyone to help you back up.
You’ve got to make a decision at this point. Will you just lay there and quit or get up? I say get up! I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. You may still be hurting. You may walk with a limp for a bit. It might take you a while to be able to walk straight again, but don’t just lay there. As I have told my children for years, “get up and walk it off.” When you’ve done all, to stand, Stand (Ephesians 6:13-14 WEB).
Psalm 118:17 KJV I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
Micah 7:8 KJV Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

I can’t say enough how much my heart needed this right now. I went to bed upset. Woke better. I read my Bible this morning and it was all words. Closed it up and said well, guess I’m alone in this one. Then grabbed my phone and scrolled. Saw this, and yes the tears flowed. A simple reminder. Thank you for allowing God to use you to speak to a heart unknowingly.
I am very thankful that God used this to help you. Even when we can’t feel Him, even when we can’t see Him, He’s still right there. He’s still right there with you. He knew what you needed and sent it to where you were. He loves you.
