I was once trying to build a clear case to display something. I kept running into problems. The final straw was when the plexiglass cracked. I said “that’s it, I’m done.” And I was, I tossed everything in a pile and never went back to it.
Have you ever been working on a project that frustrated you like this? To the point that you throw your hands up and just give up on it? Now like me you may have many projects that you have successfully completed. There are some though you may decide are just not worth the effort that you are putting into them.
Thankfully, God does not do this with us. It says in Philippians 1:6 (WEB) being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. And again in Psalm 138:8 KJV The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. You see, Jesus does not just give up on us just because we may become a difficult project. No, as it says in Psalm 86:15 (KJV) But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
He is patient with us and will not give up on us as we try to become more like Him. We may fall, we may struggle, but we must keep moving forward. Knowing that Jesus does not give up on us, even when we or others may have given up on us. So take heart and know He thinks you’re worth His time and effort.
Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
